2017 marks the 40th anniversary of Sir Frank Williams and Sir Patrick Head’s F1 team debut, and to commemorate the occasion Oris collaborated to produce this limited edition timepiece. All of the typical attributes of an Oris Williams model can be found here, such as the polished stainless steel, scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass, Superluminova hands and indices, and Swiss automatic movement.
The inclusion of the ChronOris mechanism is a new feature, and a welcome one. The black dial with tachymeter and big date display features hands that record hours, minutes and quarter seconds,
two subdials at 12 and 6 that can count up to 30min and 12hrs respectively, and the Oris Quick Lock security crown and pushers.
